  • The University is committed to improving the experience of its students, demonstrated by a high level of investment in new facilities, including

    • · a £23 million project at Portland Square on the Plymouth campus to house part of the Peninsula Medical School, the faculty of Health and Social Work and related science and technology disciplines
    • · a new £2.1 million teaching and performance building at the Exmouth campus
    • · a £23.3 million invested through public/private partnerships in student residences for Exmouth and Plymouth - with an £8 million investment proposed for Exmouth
    • · a new £800,000 fitness complex on the Plymouth campus, which has a 40-station fitness suite and three squash courts
    • · Phase II of the Peninsula Medical School is already underway, with plans for a new £13 million building, providing teaching rooms, office space, a clinical skills laboratory and research facilities. The new building will be shared with the Institute of Health Studies and the local health community.
