The Local and Naval Studies Library is situated on the first floor of the Central Library building. View map
All major bus routes pass through Plymouth city centre, within easy walking distance of the library.
There is on-street parking at the back of the Central Library in Tavistock Place. Disabled access to the Local Studies Library is via the rear entrance to the Central Library and a lift service to the first floor.

The Local and Naval Studies Library holds many and varied information resources, either on display or behind the scenes, which any member of the public can use; library membership is not necessary.
Services available in the Local and Naval Studies Library include:

- · Photocopying service: black and white, and colour
- · Fax service
1901 Census Online £5.00 voucers are available from the Local and Naval Studies Library.
