Discover what life was like in Eastleigh during the 1930s

Eastleigh Museum is housed in the old Salvation Army Citadel and was converted into a museum in 1986.

Meet Mr Brown and Mrs Brown, a local engine driver and his wife. See the recreation of their family home, a Victorian terraced house for which Eastleigh is well known.

The displays include the family's living room at tea-time, the scullery, the back yard and out-house.

The recreation of part of the Southern Railway Locomotive Erecting Workshop......there is a steam engine footplate too.

Activities for Children
The museum arranges an exciting variety of workshops and quizzes for children during the school holidays. Contact the museum for information about the next event.

Whilst you're there... have a cup of coffee at the Whistle Stop Cafe
