There is a charming walled garden behind the Gallery, which provides a peaceful retreat in the middle of Alton. In the summer months, the garden is often the venue for outdoor sculpture exhibitions.

The W H Allen Collection
Many of W H Allen's delightful watercolours and oil paintings are regularly displayed including landscape scenes of the local East Hampshire countryside at the beginning of the 20th century.

Special Exhibitions
The gallery hosts new exhibitions every few weeks. A wide variety of topics are featured including National and regional touring exhibitions of art, crafts, photography, local history and natural history, as well as the work of local artists, societies and collectors.

Fresh coffee and home-made cakes available in the comfortable coffee lounge, with displays of work by local artists, societies and collectors.

Level access to the ground floor and garden.
Staircase to 1st floor. Public car parks two minutes walk.

How to find the Allen Gallery
Alton train station is 5 mins walk from the Allen Gallery; it is the end of the line served by SW Trains out of Waterloo.

The town is served by a number of regular bus services and bus stops that are located in the town centre.
