Wendover

Aylesbury Vale's own gateway to the Chiltern Hills, Wendover is  a lively small market town famed for its culinary delights drawn from around the  world. The main focal point of the town is the distinctive Clock Tower, built in  1842 which is now home to the town's information centre. The Red Lion Hotel in  the high street has been providing a warm welcome for over 400 years with former  guests including Oliver Cromwell and Robert Louis Stevenson.
Wendover  provides an ideal base for walkers with the scenery from nearby Coombe Hill and  the Wendover Woods being amongst the most spectacular in Southern England.
