The Museum is full of fascinating exhibits about the history and development of Reading from the earliest Saxon settlements to our modern industrial heritage. Featuring  Britain's "Bayeux" Tapestry - the only full-size replica of the world's most famous embroidery - and the Silchester Gallery, housing a varied display of  Roman artefacts found at the nearby site of Calleva Atrebatum. Open Tues-Sat,  l0am-4pm: Sun & Bank Hols, 2pm-5pm. Admission Free.
