Edworth is 4 miles south east of Biggleswade with the Al forming its western boundary Apart from
Biggleswade, the nearest towns are Baldock, about 5 miles away and Shefford, 6 miles. Its population of less than 50 are mainly engaged in agriculture
The Church of St George, standing amid fields and farm buildings, with a manor house close by, dates
from the13th century, but has a 14th century tower. Like others in the area, it is built from brown pebble and is decorated in period. Roman associations are indicated by the
discovery of a mosaic pavement under the rectory.
